Our Story

From Málaga to Copenhagen

In 2020, after nearly 15 years running our restaurant in the heart of Málaga — where we had the pleasure of welcoming and befriending many Danish guests — we decided it was time for the next step: bringing the authentic Spanish tapas experience to Copenhagen.

Right in the middle of the Covid pandemic, we took the leap — supported and encouraged by our loyal customers and friends. Everyone pointed to Vesterbrogade 42 as the perfect location for El Tapeo de Cervantes. So we brought everything with us — chairs, tables, display cases, shelves — and most importantly, our beloved TAPAS. The very same ones we serve in Spain.

We made it possible for our trusted Spanish suppliers of meat, fish, and wine to deliver their products directly to Copenhagen. That means when you sit down to eat with us, you’re tasting the same flavors and quality you would enjoy in Málaga.
